The LHP Way

In early-2020 we launched our internal Culture Change Programme, The LHP Way, which means providing engagement and development opportunities for our employees, as well as enhancing our output through the embrace of technology.

We truly believe that investing in our employees is critical to delivering a great service and have been identified through the Best Companies accreditation process as ‘One to Watch’.

Our focus is also on what LHP can do to contribute to a more sustainable future. This saw the recent issuing of our ESG Strategy, which aims to create positive environmental and social impacts, with outcomes that benefits our customers, communities, employees and other stakeholders.

Customer First

MGI Mary Gober International (MGI) is an internationally recognised methodology of the mindset for delivering Excellent Customer Service. In conjunction with MGI we developed our Customer First training that gives staff a set of tools to help them understand and work in the LHP Way. All staff have received this training and we continue with embedding training through managers across the business.

Investors in People (IIP)

We are an equal and fair employer that respects individual differences accredited through Investors in People. Our aspiration is to achieve the Investors in People Gold Standard and we undertook our first IIP staff survey in October 2018, in order to provide the benchmark position and to generate an action plan to deliver tangible improvements that will create an engaged workforce, which trusts its managers.

Leaders in Diversity

LHP is passionate that both, as a business and an employer, we celebrate individual differences. To support achieving recognition of this, we are working towards recognition as a Leader in Diversity by 2023.

Digital Transformation

We have made great strides with our Digital Transformation Journey, and in 2021 we launched a new customer portal and app – My LHP, and a new corporate website.

Agile Working

At LHP we work in an Agile way, this is about working hours which best support the business needs, and best support employee’s home life, in a variety of different locations rather than a single office. We have adopted a family-friendly and flexible working culture and we want everyone to have a good work-life balance.
